Led by a Clinical Psychologist, our weekly supervision sessions help care teams make psychological sense of the children they support. Staff build formulation skills, reduce burnout, and develop a consistent therapeutic framework that runs across the whole team, not just in individual interactions.
Care staff and designated leads access our secure platform for tailored guidance, clinical resources, structured check-ins, and direct messaging with a Clinical Psychologist, making support available at the moments that matter, not just in weekly meetings.
The 167 hours in residential care are where we work too.
A young person in residential care might receive one hour of therapy a week. The other 167 are spent in the home, with care staff who are often doing extraordinary work without adequate psychological support. Alula exists to change that: embedding psychological thinking into the team, not just the therapy room.
Transparent outcomes. Clear evidence. Built for scrutiny.
Commissioning decisions depend on more than good intentions. Alula is designed to provide the evidence base that makes the case, demonstrable to everyone who needs to see it.
We're working with a small number of residential care providers in our current beta programme. If you're a commissioner, a care home operator, or a provider looking to embed psychological support across your homes, we'd welcome a conversation.
A transparent model for commissioners
Every Alula partnership is built on a clear, evidenced theory of change, so commissioners see exactly what they are investing in and how each stage leads to the next.
You can see the young person moving from not talking at all, to now talking more, engaging in key work sessions, spending more time in the home, and beginning to sit and eat with others. That achievement feels like a big thing.
"Overall, the team engages really well and we are having more honest conversations."
"The training has already helped break a big barrier. It feels like a real success. We are gaining knowledge from you about how to better care for the young person."
"If we face roadblocks with other professionals, Alula can support by writing letters or providing professional input. Having that professional backing helps people listen and take action."
