Small, senior, and genuinely invested in your family.
Alula is deliberately small. The quality of the relationship between a psychologist and a family is everything, and that only exists in a service that takes on the right families, not the most.
I built Alula because I kept seeing the same thing: families who needed more than a waiting list offered, and children who needed the adults around them to understand them, not just manage them. Over a decade in CAMHS, looked-after children's teams, and residential care. Also a parent, which means clinical rigour and lived understanding, in equal measure.
Naya is the person who makes Alula work, day to day, and in the moments that matter. She coordinates care across our family and care home partnerships, contributes to clinical supervision, and is often the first familiar voice a new family hears. Her thoroughness shows up in the quiet, reliable sense that someone is always paying attention.
What parents say
"I am forever grateful for the work that Katharine did with me and my family. From day one, I felt an immediate connection because she truly listened and understood what I was going through. I never felt so understood in my life."
"Dr Katharine has been a huge help to my family over the past 4 years. She has listened to our concerns, dealt with our anxiety as parents and guided us in understanding our son's behaviours. She has brought peace to our house."
"Dr Katharine is very professional, approachable and very responsive and has already made a positive impact to our son. More importantly, our son felt comfortable with her from their first session."
